Introducing FranChoice

Who is Alex Roberts?

Industry Experienced

Alex Roberts is a seasoned franchise executive with extensive experience in franchise development. Since 2004, he has helped hundreds of candidates embark on the path of franchise ownership. His franchise development career has included executive-level positions with many of the premier brands in franchising, and his experience spans many industries, including home services, retail, food and health & wellness.

Coach and Mentor

Coaching and mentoring has always been a big part of Alex’s life. Prior to his career in franchising, Alex’s work involved coaching in a different arena. For 11-plus years, he coached hockey. He started at the professional level, and moved to recruiting and developing elite-level HS hockey players as a U.S. National team coach. Here, Alex learned a golden rule: act with the player’s goals and interests in mind, not your own.

Former Athlete

Alex’s career as a hockey coach was built on his time playing NCAA and professional hockey. He was drafted by and signed with the Chicago Blackhawks after leading the University of Michigan hockey team as a captain. At U-M, he set a menacing record — racking up the most penalty minutes in the university’s history. However, have no fear — you’ll find that off the ice he’s a very warm guy with a winning smile ready to help your transition.

What People Are Saying About FranChoice

“I worked closely with my consultant over the course of several months as he guided me through the franchise process and finding the right fit for me. He was a fantastic resource as he knows franchising thoroughly, worked in franchising extensively before becoming a consultant, and is very skilled at picking out what’s important to the individual he is working with.” – Dana M., Franchise Owner
