NBA All-Star Draymond Green Drives NY-Based Franchise Into The Midwest
Following the playbook of fellow NBA starts LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant and Steph Curry, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is diversifying his portfolio and becoming a business owner. The two-time NBA Champion, NBA All-Star, Olympic Gold Medalist and Defensive Player of the Year is making his first investment in the fitness industry.
The Michigan-native has signed on with Blink Fitness with plans to expand the New York-based gym franchise into the Midwest. In addition to investing in the company, which aims to add at least 20 high-quality, low-cost gyms in Michigan and Illinois, Green will be involved in operations. He is partnering with finance professional Tom Shumaker, as a fellow franchisee.
